About DB&E

DB&E provides complete water well and septic systems on a turnkey basis for the residential, cattle, and solarmarket. DB&E has the capability to provide every element of a water well system from initial design to start up, as well as maintenance and repairs on existing wells.DB&E will be working with qualified septic installers to provide a turnkey project to help with the stress of building a new house. DB&E has extensive equipment in addition to technical personnel to determine geological conditions and aquifer characteristics in most locations, enabling it to locate suitable water-bearing formations to meet a wide variety of customer requirements. DB&E believes that it has the technical ability and experience to specify and troubleshoot any existing well to determine the issue.

History

DB&E was founded in Dalhart, Texas in April 1947 by C. P. “Pete” Metcalf and has been in business at the same location for over 70 years. In the early 1950’s, Mr. Metcalf purchased his first rig for drilling water well wells for agriculture applications. Over the years, Mr. Metcalf was regarded as the pioneer of water well drilling and pump installation in the northwest corner of the Texas Panhandle. He was acclaimed for his dedication to providing quality customer service and Mr. Metcalf oversaw DB&E’s operations until his passing in 1986. The Metcalf family continues to own the current business.

Management

Christian Huntington has lived in the Amarillo and Canyon area for the past 23 years. Mr.Huntington has been in the pump industry for19 years and has gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of the business. He has worked for Preferred Pump& Equipment for 17 years and 2M Company Inc. for the previous 2 years. Christian has traveled a territory covering Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma doing pump sales and troubleshooting systems. He is knowledgeable in residential water systems, windmills, solar pumps, and irrigation systems.He will be managing operations at the DB&E – Palo Duro branch.
